SPACES by Hollie Velten is a full-service interior design firm committed to the practice of studying and shaping the connection of people and house. Our design philosophy is based on the idea that we must explore and engage the past to create a present in which the ideal future can take space.

Our rooms are highly-customized, emotive, elevated yet relaxed, and of a certain mix of genre and era. Founder/Principal (Hollie Velten-Lattrell) and Studio Director (Victoria Bailey-Adamson) bring a uniquely Californian + English perspective to each project

HOME is a place where you should feel seen and heard and expressive of the person (/people) you are. Bespoke is our idea of luxury.

TEAM

Hollie Velten-Lattrell, Principal and Founder,

Hollie was raised in northern California. She received her BFA in Dance from the University of California Santa Barbara, where her studies of postmodern choreography and the experimental Ballet Russes—both of which helped dismantle traditional notions of dance, beauty and bodies in space—inform her intuitive design practice today. Before opening her creative studio and becoming a certified decorator, Hollie was a Senior Buyer for Anthropologie, West Elm and Forever 21, and also consulted with various retailers and brands on trend and design direction, visual research, merchandising and product development. Today Hollie lives in Maplewood, New Jersey in an old house full of kids and pets.

Victoria Bailey-Adamson, Studio Director and Project Lead,

Victoria Bailey-Adamson was born in Berkshire to the west of London and moved her family from London to NYC in 2016. She studied fine art at University specializing in painting and installation art, with a passion for texture and layering.  She started her career in interiors with HOWE London on the Pimlico Road, where her love of antiques and textiles grew before later shifting her career focus and expanding her skillset into project management at Amazon Media Group and Microsoft Advertising. Here she managed multi-million dollar global advertising campaigns including Lego, Paramount Pictures and Mercedes.

STUDIO

We practice in our beloved workspace, a former candy shop in the heart of Maplewood, NJ. We consider our studio to play an instrumental role in the conceptual development of all our projects with reference to our ever-evolving materials library and a space to ideate and explore.

The SPACES team also includes Bahar: Junior Designer, Sonu: Junior Designer, and Justyna: Finance Director.
